Use of Furcellaria lumbricalis in food

References to the use of furcellaran, a carrageenan extracted from Furcellaria lumbricalis in food, namely in canned foods, before 1997. Also referred to as Furcellaria fastigiata forma aegagropila (currently regarded as a synonym of Furcellaria lumbricalis *) in the books:
